Selectabed, the mattress and pillow division of Relief-Mart, lists four pillows on its site. One of them is the top-rated head pillow, the Snuggle-Pedic Ultra-Luxury Shredded Memory Foam Pillow, which is also listed by Snuggle-Pedic, a branch of Selectabed. The other three are the Trillow, the UltraLuxe, and the CozyCloud Deluxe. Of these only the Snuggle-Pedic and the CozyCloud are available on Amazon. Both of these are Made in the USA, materials and assembly, in Relief-Mart/Selectabed’s Southern California factory. The CozyCloud pillow was designed in cooperation with iDreamBest, the exclusive distributor.
Shredded Memory Foam
The CozyCloud and the Ultra-Luxury are both filled with shredded memory foam, as are several highly-rated memory foam pillows. Shredded memory foam has the shapability and softness of down, but does not go flat. The foam pieces hold each other in place. It has the conforming and cushioning of memory foam, but with more breathability as it lets more air pass freely though. This airflow makes it much cooler than a solid foam pillow.
The memory foam in the CozyCloud is not temperature sensitive, meaning that it will not get hot with body heat, but is high-density so that it will not flatten. It is certified by CertiPUR-US as free from toxic substances. This is blended ai. Unlike down and feathers, it resists dust mites, a common source of allergic reactions.
Both pillows are adjustable, but in different ways. While the user can open the zippers on the cover and liner of the Ultra-Luxury and take out or add foam, the CozyCloud has three covered pillows inside the cover. One or two can be removed to change the pillow height, giving the user a choice among multiple thicknesses. Dr. Rick Swartzburg, D.C., the chiropractor who designed this pillow, says, “The 3 layer Adjustable Cozy Cloud pillow is perfect for those sleepers who want a traditional shape design, but want to choose the exact thickness and support to fit their needs.”
There are a number of advantages to using thinner pillows within the main one:
The CozyCloud can be adjusted while riding in a vehicle, staying in a motel, or as a house guest. You do not have to keep track of foam taken out, and it can’t spill and make a mess.
Ease of use
Zip the pillow open to adjust. It is easy to change the CozyCloud pillow back to the previous height – just put the thinner pillow back in. Zip closed when done.
You can have multiple pillows. The thin one can be rolled into a bolster for the neck while using the rest for the head. Or you can have one for the head, one for the neck, and one for the elbow – or whatever combination you may choose. You can even use one as a child’s pillow.
Since the filling is shredded foam, each component pillow can be shaped as part of the overall configuration of the pillow for whatever shape is desired for the head, neck, or body.
The three pillows can be reassembled for ease of handling, including putting back into your luggage if you are traveling.
Bamboo in the Blend
Rayon from bamboo is the featured material in the cover of the Pillow by CozyCloud. It has a silky feel and is breathable. Bamboo is considered a more sustainable and environmentally friendly source for the cellulose in rayon than forest trees.
The Air–Vent™ knit fabric itself is a blend: 40% bamboo rayon, 60% polyester. The polyester adds durability, and the knit pattern makes it more breathable.
The cover is zippered so it can be opened up to manage the smaller pillows inside, which also have the same fabric.
Ease of Care
The Pillow by CozyCloud is machine washable, so you can keep the place you lay you head and face clean. Since the cover is zippered, it can be removed and washed separately.
Sleep Trial and Warranty
The CozyCloud Pillow comes with a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee and a 10-Year Warranty (twice the 5-year warranty by Coop Home Goods).
The Pillow by CozyCloud has a 4.4 average customer rating on Amazon with 472 reviews. This is not as high as the Ultra-Luxury (4.5) and Body Pillow (4.7) by Snuggle-Pedic, which are designed and made by the same people using the same ingredients in the same plant. The reason is that, in spite of its versatility, multiple pillows in one cover are not as comfortable for some people as one body of shredded memory foam.
