The Company
Relief-Mart, Inc., a seller of health and wellness products is located in Agoura Hills, California. Dr. Rick Swartzburg, D.C., a chiropractor, is the Chief Development Officer. Relief-Mart was started in 2000 and incorporated in 2001. Beginning with pain relief treatments, such as muscle and joint relief, its most widely-known products now include top-rated shredded memory foam pillows and memory foam mattresses sold on Amazon.
Purpose and Goal
Relief-Mart™ Inc. was created with the intention of helping people around the world through products which enable people to take charge of their health today. Whether you are in pain or just want to improve your overall health, Relief-Mart™ offers you the highest quality home health products customized to your individual needs. Their goal is to give you the best available resources to take charge of your sleep health.
Divisions
Relief-Mart has two major divisions, the home division, and Selectabed, the mattress manufacturing and sales division. Selectabed itself has two sub-divisions, Tempflow and Snuggle-Pedic, each with its own website. Relief-Mart’s mattress brands: Tempflow, Snuggle-Pedic, Select-A-Bed

Selectabed’s product lines bear trade names such as… Tri-Pedic, Fibro-Pedic, Memory Zone, Flex-Tech, and Air-Pedic.
All of the company’s pillows (except the Snuggle-Pedic Kids Pillow and Schmoozi) are listed or linked to on the Relief-Mart website, with a number also listed on the Selectabed and Snuggle-Pedic websites:

Trendsetter
Not generally acknowledged is Relief-Mart’s role as a trendsetter in memory foam mattress design. Dr. Swartzburg was using a Tempur-Pedic mattress. He liked the fact that it relieved pressure, and he knew that the future of the mattress market was in memory foam. However, he found that the mattress did not begin to conform until the foam warmed up, which took longer when room temperatures were cool. He also noted that memory foam tended to become too warm.
Dr. Rick Swartzburg set out to design a memory foam mattress with a quicker initial response and less heat which would still have deep pressure-relieving conformity. His solution was three layers instead of the then-current two layers. In his design, called Tri-Pedic, the top memory foam layer was less dense (4 lbs) than the normal 5.3 lbs. This made it more pressure-sensitive and less heat absorbing. The middle layer was the original 5 to 5.3 lbs. The base layer was the same HD polyurethane foam. TEMPUR-Pedic later came out with their own 3-layer mattress, followed by the TEMPUR-Cloud Collection. Since then, multi-layered mattress construction has been the norm for memory foam mattresses.
Information and Education
Dr. Rick Swartzburg and Relief-Mart also have a role in informing and educating the public on issues of health and wellness. The Books for Better Living page lists four books for sale: You Don’t Have to Live With Pain by Rick Swartzburg [1], Probiotics: Protection Against Infection [2] and Oral Probiotics [3] by Casey Adams, and Walking With The Wise For Health & Vitality by Linda Forsythe (Compiler) and Brad J. King (Forward) with expert contributors, including Dr. Phil McGraw, Dr. Deepak Chopra, and Dr. Rick Swartzburg [4].
The author of four websites, Dr. Swartzburg addresses specific areas of health: #1 Back Pain Site, Bursitis, Tendonitis, and Fibromyalgia Health. As a chiropractor, he has been helping patients deal with the subjects of these sites. He is also is the owner and Editor-in-Chief of this site, MemoryFoamMattress.org (MFM), which provides information about memory foam and memory foam mattresses, reviews of memory foam mattresses and pillows, and articles about issues related to sleep, health, and mattresses and pillows. In fact, on a Google or Bing search, MemoryFoamMattress.org is the #1 search result for memory foam information and #2 (#2 and #5 on Bing) for memory foam mattress information.
Marketing
Relief-Mart markets its product online through company sites, on Amazon, in their showroom and store in Agoura Hills, California and through participating health practitioners.

Each of the Relief-Mart websites lists products for sale. Most are sold directly from the listing site. However, some products have sales links to other sites. The category “Mattresses & Toppers” links to Selectabed, the mattress manufacturing and sales division.

A few Relief-Mart products are listed on Amazon under four brands: TheraCherry, Therapain Plus, Snuggle-Pedic, and Schmoozi, but are also available in the showroom store. Most of these are pillows.

Relief-Mart Factory Showroom & Store
Most Relief-Mart products are displayed and sold in their factory showroom located at: 28505 Canwood Street, Suite B in Agoura Hills, California. This includes organic mattresses made by Palmpring (another Southern California manufacturer) and listed on Selectabed. These organic mattresses are made with coir – coconut husk fiber infused with latex. Most of the mattresses are made to order in consultation with the customer.
Relief-Mart Is a Means to Help Others
Through Relief-Mart, Dr. Swartzburg has been able to help many times more people than those who can come to his local chiropractic office.
